Fearless

Last night i went to catch a movie with my new friend, Damien Fong.

Jet Li's latest martial arts hit "Huo Yuanjia" just launched on 26 Jan 2006. And it looks like being Li's last Kung-fu flick, after the star revealed this would be the last time he would appear in a martial arts movie. (That's why hardly to get a ticket most of the time! ^o^ Everyone wanna to watch it before too late...)
Few days before CNY, i was eagerly wanted to watch this movie - Fearless (Jet Li's latest movie). But cinema always fully booked. Hence, decided after the peak period just give another try. I've made the reservation 2 days in advanced, somehow i was over slept last night (i know..i know..i'm piglet), didn't manage to collect the ticket on time. However, I rushed to the cinema saw the long que.. *phew* but still manage to grab 2 tickets with nice seat. I was bit suprised that the cinema was fulled, even the 1st row from the screen also taken up.

Needless to say, Jet Li's movie did not disappoint the audiance. I used to love his movies as well, but due to the busy schedule, missed out some of his movies. I must say that, among his movies, i still prefers Once upon a time in China.

Huo Yuanjia this is a story of a fighter who represent the Chinese martial arts to a nation. He had a dream of continuing the legacy his father established as a world-class fighter in China. He was thrilled by the taste of fighting followed by victory, as his fame grew, so did his pride. Very soon he had become an arrogant person, always enjoy convivial companions and to forget about his family. After reaching his goal, however, a personal tragedy causes him to disappear for several years. (His victory has cost him lost his beloved one, his mother and daughters were killed in brutal revenge). Then he just realized that he make the mistake because of his pride, dignity, selfishness ... He was crazed with grief and shame. He was wandering around and ready to give up all hopes. Till he met the granny and her blind grand-daughter, with their genuine care and kindness, he slowly began to forget his pain and his desire to fight.
He's not heard from until the honor of defending his country in an international tournament surfaces. He saw the future of martial arts lays in the spirit of the sportmanship and not the brutality. He defeats 3 fighters in the battle, till he faced the 4th fighter; he was dead after the last battle as he fight until the last moment. (A cup of poison tea causing his death)
"I wanted to tell people that we couldn't choose our birth, but we should be brave and courageous enough to get through to the end of our lives."
Jet Li said.
Just love this quote...

I just love the moral of this story...

1. His soul mate who helps him pick up his courage whenever he is having difficulties. What a true friendship meant for. A friend who always stand by you. *so touch....*

2. Treasure whatever you are having now in your life. Don't take things for granted. Show your appreciation to those love & care about you. Living in peace & content. Don't wait till the moment you loss the oppportunity, just with pretty much regrets in life.. Cherish the quality moments as you have.........
Fully utilize whatever you have, maximize them as you can..

3. Man always be selfish (most of the time), but can we demostrate some selfless as well? Always care for others, always considerate for others... Do you?

4. Self reflection...WHO AM I? always pick up the lessons from the experience. Perhaps ..for self improvement. Be thoughtful...
Your greatest enemy is YOURSELF...

Every sunset gives us less one day to live. Every sunrise gives us one more day of hope. We must live through sunset and sunrise with hope and joy as part of life. Always carry a hope.... Enjoy the life to the fullest! *NO SHIT*

Life only travels once.
Today's moment becomes tomorrow's memory.
Enjoy every moment good or bad,
because the gift of Life is ..Life itself..
